Images of a Hybrid Cat Breed

These Savannah cat pictures capture the essence of this unusual and rare hybrid cat breed.

The hybrid Savannah cat is an exotic cat breed and the result of crossing a domestic cat with the wild Serval cat.

what does f1, f2 indicate?

Breeders generally indicate the generation by using the following - F1, F2, F3 and so on.

What this means for example is that an F1 cat is the direct descendant or offspring of a Serval / domestic cat cross whilst an F2 would be a second generation cat and one generation removed from the wild Serval.

It goes without saying that the lower the number i.e. an F1 would have a lot more  'wild' blood and the characteristic and temperament would be closely related to the wild Serval.

An F4 for example would have a more predictable temperament as it is a couple of generations removed from the Serval.
